Safety Rules when holding Events posted by Guides on the Service

Please read these Rules carefully. If you do not agree with any clause of the Rules, you should refrain from booking and participating in Events on the Service. Booking Events on the Service means that you agree with these Rules and undertake to comply with them.

  • It is important to us that You (Client) have a positive experience when attending the Events and that the Events themselves are held safely to your life and health, We (Sputnik) have prepared the Safety Rules when holding Events posted by Guides on the Service (Rules)
  • For abovementioned purpose, as well as in order to prevent possible accidents and incidents that pose a risk
  • Rules defines:
    • basic requirements for the Client's behavior when participating in Events
    • safety measures to ensure the life and health of Clients when participating in Events
  • We ask you to carefully read the text of Rules and strictly adhere to Rules, since compliance with Rules is very important for your safety and is a prerequisite for the high-quality and safe provision of services by Guides
  • In case of violation of Rules by You, Guides have the right to:
    • suspend the provision of services until all the requirements of Rules are met, and/or
    • refuse to hold the Events if such a violation is material
  • The terms of Rules shall be interpreted in the meaning defined in the User Agreement
  • Rules do not contain an exhaustive list of requirements for behavior and safety measures that ensure the safety of life and health. Rules may be supplemented by the rules and requirements of Guide, as well as generally established rules of conduct and safety. The rules and requirements of Guide, as well as the generally established rules of conduct and safety, shall prevail over these Rules, in case of their conflict

    Preparation for the Event:

    1. Carefully read the information about the Event, rules for visiting the facilities included in the Event itinerary, and additional information necessary for a safe visit to the Event
    2. You can ask questions to a Guide by the use of our Service or directly using the contact details of Guides if you have any questions regarding the details of the Event, safety precautions, the availability of permits from a Guide or information that must be communicated to you
    3. Study the reviews of other Clients about the Event, whether they are positive or negative, what experiences other Clients faced during the Event
    4. Before booking an Event, please carefully read requirements and restrictions that are described on the Event page and/or obviously accompany such Event
    5. Do not book an Event if it contains requirements and restrictions that you cannot or do not meet, such as age, health, fitness requirements, the need to use individual and group gear and equipment, including personal protective equipment, and other requirements
    6. Do not book Events if such Events contain a risk to health and life and you are not ready to accept such a risk (e.g. hiking, animal riding, water Activities, visits to industrial facilities and enterprises, etc.)
    7. Do not take children with you to those Events to which it is forbidden to take children and/or there are appropriate restrictions for children and/or there is an obvious risk to the health and life of children. If you still decide to take children with you, then please comply with and ask children to follow the safety rules of a Guide, and also do not hesitate to ask questions to a Guide and demand appropriate explanations from they on safety rules, personal protective equipment, etc.

    General Precautions:

    1. Familiarize yourself with and follow all the safety rules applied by the facilities included in the itinerary of the Event, namely (but not limited to) the safety rules of museums, organizations that carry out your transportation, places of temporary stay, etc
    2. Follow the orders and recommendations of Guides, tour guides, escorts. Listen carefully to the safety briefing if it is conducted by Guides or other persons responsible for the Event. Strictly follow all the instructions given at such a briefing
    3. Check in advance the information about the weather conditions on the day of the Event, the state of natural objects included in the route of the Event in order to assess their safety specifically for you, the state of communications, tourist infrastructure, etc
    4. If you feel unwell, you must immediately inform your escort or a Guide
    5. Pay attention to the state of health and behavior of the participants of the Event, immediately inform the accompanying person or a Guide about the first signs of ill health or absence of the participant of the Event
    6. If you lost the group, immediately contact the group escort, Guides' representative at the number indicated on the ticket, or another participant of the Event. If you can't get in touch, contact a government agency: museum, police, nearest educational institution
    7. Do not disturb or violate the rights of Guides and other participants of the Event, third parties
    8. During the Event, it is forbidden to drink alcoholic beverages (including low-alcohol ones, beer, except for cases when the use of alcohol is expressly provided for by the program of the Event), litter, use obscene language, etc
    9. Do not deviate from the route (paths), do not approach electric wires, unfenced edges of ravines, cliffs, do not enter reservoirs and do not swim in places not designated for swimming, etc
    10. When visiting observation decks, do not go beyond the installed fences, do not move children outside the fences, do not climb yourself or place children on the fences
    11. When visiting natural objects (glaciers, rocks, mountains, ravines, waterfalls, etc.), act in strict accordance with the instructions of Guides, escorts, officers. Any uncoordinated step can cause harm to health or death of a person
    12. When visiting production facilities, stay together with the group and strictly follow the instructions of the accompanying person
    13. Use personal protective equipment at those Events where it is mandatory and/or a reasonable safety measure
    14. Be especially careful and cautious when attending Events that involve risks to health and life (e.g. hiking, horseback riding, water activities, etc.)
    15. Regardless of the category of Activities, never leave children unattended
