2. The copper deposit of Alestos and a unique lake with dark emerald water. The deposit's dumps offer views of both the Greek and Turkish parts of the island.

3. An adit where chrome was recently mined is not far from Mount Olympos, the highest point of the island.

4. A secret place with agates, amethyst geodes, chalcedony and zeolites - where you can independently find beautiful samples of minerals.

5. The park's centre has an exhibition of all the minerals and rocks found on the island.

We will make short stops to get acquainted with important geological processes, rocks, and minerals and try to reconstruct the history of the movements of entire rock masses millions of years ago.

By the end of the excursion, we will have crossed the entire territory of the geopark, confidently distinguishing the main types of minerals and rocks from each other and understanding some complex terms related to the development of our planet.
